Knowledge of horses, nutrition, locomotion, quality of grounds... both in the technical and scientific fields and in the field of pedagogy, the School carries out researches in order to improve and diversify the equestrian education. So trainees can benefit from the most innovative techniques of training at the French National Riding School.
Several elements are at the disposal of the riders so that they can feel better the differences of locomotion between their horses.
In this measure, the tool Equimetrix which is a device of analysis of the locomotion constituted by a sensor and by a recorder arranged on the horse, was developed within the research laboratory of the French National Riding School. It records the vertical accelerations, longitudinal and side accelerations of the horse, allowing for example to compare the parameters collected with the marks given by the judges during competitions.
The School also has a modern media library endowed with a documentary collection of 20 000 works whose 1404 in english essentially directed to the practice of riding and its teaching. Although it is mainly used by the trainees of the School, it is also accessible to the general public...
